Clear principles that ensure Aigburth People’s Hall remains a welcoming, well-managed private members space for all.

🏛️ Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Membership Application & Approval

1.1 Completion of an application form constitutes a request for membership only and does not guarantee acceptance.
1.2 All applications are subject to review at the sole discretion of Aigburth People’s Hall.
1.3 Aigburth People’s Hall reserves the right to accept or decline any application without obligation to provide a reason.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Membership is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Applicants must ensure all information provided is accurate and complete.

3. Membership Status

3.1 Membership is granted at the discretion of Aigburth People’s Hall and may be withdrawn at any time.
3.2 Membership is personal and non-transferable.
3.3 Members may not allow others to use their membership for access or benefits.

4. Conduct & Behaviour

4.1 Members are expected to always conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner.
4.2 Any behaviour deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe may result in refusal of entry or termination of membership.
4.3 Members must comply with all applicable licensing laws and staff instructions while on the premises.

5. Access & Use of Facilities

5.1 Access to Aigburth People’s Hall is subject to operating hours, private bookings, and event schedules.
5.2 Certain areas or events may be restricted or require separate admission.
5.3 Aigburth People’s Hall reserves the right to refuse entry at its discretion.

6. Membership Tiers, Fees & Benefits

6.1 Aigburth People’s Hall offers a range of membership tiers designed to provide varying levels of access, priority, and member benefits.

6.2 The current and forthcoming membership tiers are as follows:

  • Standard Membership (currently £20 per year).
    Complimentary membership providing access to areas of the Hall, general communications, and eligibility to attend events and make enquiries for private hire, subject to availability. 
  • Priority Membership
    An enhanced membership offering additional benefits, available for an annual fee (currently £35 per year). 
  • Padel Club Membership (Coming Soon)
    A future membership tier which will combine the benefits of existing membership levels with additional access and privileges relating to the padel facilities at Aigburth People’s Hall.

This tier will include, but not be limited to:

  • access to padel court booking privileges 
  • priority booking for courts and related activities 
  • participation in leagues, coaching, and events 
  • additional member benefits associated with the wider Hall 

Full details, pricing, and availability will be released upon completion of the padel facilities. This membership tier is not currently available.

  • Premium / VIP Membership
    A limited membership tier offered at the discretion of Aigburth People’s Hall, providing enhanced access, priority services, and tailored benefits. Fees and availability will be communicated upon invitation or application.  

6.3 Benefits associated with each membership tier may include, but are not limited to:

  • priority access to events and ticket releases 
  • early access to private hire availability 
  • invitations to exclusive or member-only events 
  • access to selected member offers and promotions 
  • discounted bar & bookings prices 

All benefits are subject to availability and may be amended from time to time.

6.4 Membership fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except at the discretion of Aigburth People’s Hall.

6.5 Aigburth People’s Hall reserves the right to:

  • amend or withdraw membership tiers 
  • revise membership fees 
  • update or vary the benefits associated with any membership tier at any time, where reasonably required.

6.6 Membership is intended to enhance the overall experience of the Hall and should not be obtained solely for the purpose of accessing discounts or financial incentives. Any offers or promotions are provided at the discretion of Aigburth People’s Hall and may be withdrawn without notice.

7. Communications

7.1 Members will receive communications relating to their membership where necessary.
7.2 Marketing communications (including events, offers, and updates) will only be sent where consent has been provided.
7.3 Members may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

8. Data Protection

8.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
8.2 Information provided will be used for membership administration and communication purposes.
8.3 Personal data will not be sold or shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.

9. Liability

9.1 Aigburth People’s Hall accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings.
9.2 Members and guests enter and use the premises at their own risk, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination of Membership

10.1 Aigburth People’s Hall reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership at any time for breach of these terms or inappropriate behaviour.
10.2 No refund or compensation will be due in the event of termination.

11. Amendments

11.1 These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
11.2 Continued use of membership constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Aigburth People’s Hall – House Rules

  • Members and guests must always behave respectfully towards staff and other patrons 
  • Abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated 
  • No illegal substances are permitted on the premises 
  • Alcohol must be consumed responsibly in accordance with licensing laws 
  • Members must follow all instructions given by staff 
  • Entry may be refused at the discretion of management 
  • Children are only permitted where/when appropriate and must be always supervised 
  • No outside food or drink is permitted unless agreed in advance 
  • The premises must be respected — any damage may result in liability for repair 
  • Aigburth People’s Hall operates a zero-tolerance policy on harassment or discrimination
